III Old Business
Discussion of Proposals for the Portable Buildings at Sebago Elementary
The Board discussed the placement of the two portable classrooms and a consensus was reached that the portable with the divider would be moved to where the SYAA snack shack is now located. SYAA will remove the snack shack and also the storage trailer, and will use the portable classroom for new snack shack and equipment storage. The other portable classroom with one large room will be moved next to the existing Sebago Volunteer Association cooking shack for use by them.
The existing cooking shack will then be used for storage by the Sebago Days Committee.
Lisa Sleeper will contact the contractor and see if both buildings can be moved on the same day. She will also determine the cost and set a date(s). She will let Allen Crabtree know so that a work party can be assembled.
The cost of moving will be borne by the three civic groups, as well as the cost of site preparation (gravel for a pad) and installation. Town DPW equipment or staff will not be involved in the move.
The cost of any renovations to the buildings, including power hookup, etc, as well as maintenance, will be borne by the three civic groups.
David Hague will check with MMA about the advisability of some sort of agreement between the town and the groups, and also questions on insurance.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
Allen Crabtree, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen
