- Safe Harbor Right of Way Dock Issue
Some residents of Safe Harbor Rd, addressed the Board regarding placing a dock in the Towns Right of Way. It was stated that when this issue was previously addressed in 2006, the Board decided to not allow docks to be placed in the Towns Right of Way. It was felt that not only would this be a liability issue for the town, but might cause traffic and parking problems. Board members discussed the possibility of selling or leasing the Right of Way to the Association. It was stated that whatever is decided about this Right of Way could have an impact on all town owned Right of Ways. The Board would like the Town Manager to get a copy of the Long Beach Survey (status of the Town Right of Way on Marathon Ave), and to look into the options of leasing or selling the Right of Way and to bring this
information back at the August 4th meeting. Lastly, the Board requesting that the Town Manager discuss with the Fire Chief possibilities of placing a dry hydrant somewhere near Safe Harbor Rd.
