CIP minutes 1/3/13
Members present: Phil Lowe, Jim Jansz, Jim Smith, and Selectman Edie Hamden. Others present: Selectmen Chris Parker, Allen Crabtree, Ann Farley,and Fire Chief Ken Littlefield.

The committee agreed that the top 4-5 line items will gain greater prioritization when years to action reach 2-3 years and increased funding will then be determined.
Ann reported that according to Michele no monies can be moved between the lines without voter approval.
Ken reported the replacement cost of engine2 is $350k.Funding needed is $205,069 k He reviewed several specs which include, front mount suction, side mounted pump and an enclosed cab which is now mandatory. He also stated a lease/purchase interest rate would be 2.8%.
Jim had a quote from a rep for a single axle 4400 International truck with basic minimum standards including 1000 gal per min. pump, 1000 gal.tank,and automatic transmission. Price-$214,488 k.
Allen outlined the following options for engine 2
Fund the $205,069 needed
Extend the years to action—Install new pump for $30 k and have the cab and chassis
gone over to determine condition and see if cost of refurbishing is feasible.
Fund an amount in the CIP and take some from the UFB with warrant article
Enter into a lease/purchase agreement
