Minutes of 11/21/05 Public Safety Meeting:
Present: Don Olden, Steve Burgess, Maurice Davies, Jason Greene, Lauris Champagne, Dave Hague, Dave McCarthy.
Steve started the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
Steve walked us through a quick summary of the Neil Courtney document and asked the committee if everyone was in agreement that the RT 114/RT 11 corridor was the areas that we should be looking for property. Everyone agreed that this area would be the best.
We then brainstormed several sites on RT 114, Folly Road, Fitch Road. Dave McCarthy suggested that rather than have committee members contact land owners, David Hauge should send a letter of intent. David’s involvement would provide a consistent message and one person for land owners to go to with questions. David will draft a letter for the next meeting for review by the committee.
Lauris walked the committee through the project initation document she drafted. This document is a work in progress and can be changed at any time. Updated document is attached.
Discussed the need to look at various facilities in the area and we asked Jason Greene to obtain dimensions of fire stations and lot sizes of these facilities.
Steve will call Neil for any additional information available that would help us determine size and design specs.
