This Sebago Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, which was adopted by the municipal legislative body on March 2, 1991, shall not be effective unless approved by the Board of Environmental Protection. A certified copy of the Sebago Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, attested and signed by the Municipal Clerk, shall be forwarded to the Board of Environmental Protection for approval. If the Board of Environmental Protection fails to act on the Ordinance within forty-five (45) days of its receipt of the Ordinance, it shall be deemed approved. Upon approval of this Ordinance, the “Minimum
Shoreland Zoning Ordinance” previously adopted on March 15, 1975 is hereby repealed.
Any application for a permit submitted to the municipality within the forty-five (45) day period shall be governed by the terms of the Ordinance if the Ordinance is approved by the Board of Environmental Protection.
